I tried experimenting with the first ever video I have just created. Thanks to the fellow classmates and Sir, I was able to accomplish it.

This is the first time I have ever had the chance to experiment and create a film relating it to something I have created or thought up myself. The term Pathways which is the title of my short clip was based on me (well it was me, ok, all me). It’s like finding your way on a new land, new soil but still struggling to keep who you were alive. In the clip it shows footage of me walking around, I was walking in different directions and it shows different areas which all add to make one clip of me walking from one area and appearing in another area but actually in totally different times and places.

My original idea was to make a film that fell in on itself, like a picture being layered. I found this too difficult and had to change it. The first time I looked at my work was really awkward. It looked like a surveillance video.

This has been a great opportunity for me to look at myself from the outside. I am new to this school, I know people will be focusing their attention on the character in the film, but how I relate to it, is how people find you different and uniquewhen they first meet you, either beacause of colour, or your birth place, the way you act or the people you hang out with. People have different points of view on how they see you and that’s how it plays out in life.
